The First Appointment!

I had my first official doctor's appointment today and I'm so happy! I had to give a urine sample, get my blood pressure taken, and discuss any hereditary problems or defects. I was so nervous the whole time! I just wanted to see my baby and make sure everything was okay. 

My new due date is July 6, 2011. The first pregnancy test was pretty accurate, being July 10, but now I am about a week further than I thought. :)

I didn't know that I was getting an ultrasound--I thought they would only let Mike and I listen to the heartbeat--but I was so excited when I did! Our little Beach babe had some SERIOUS hiccups the whole time! It was so cute...the baby kept jumping up each time a hiccup came. :) 

The heartbeat is excellent and our baby is perfect! I expected to see this weird little alien, but our baby actually looks like a baby! The picture doesn't do it justice, but seriously...my baby is freakin' CUTE! The little profile...oh, I could die. I kept laughing and Mike was just grinning his face off. I'm so glad that he skipped class to be there when we saw our baby for the first time!

It's real now...that little baby is INSIDE of me, stealing my nutrients and making me fat...and I couldn't be happier. :) My doctor is a stud (Dr. Weibell) and the nurses were all very nice. I'm excited for my second appointment in February, when I'll be 20 weeks and be able to find out the gender! If you haven't, vote on the Gender Guess and let me know what you think!
