See that? That itty bitty gut? That's my BABY!
I am having a really hard time wearing clothes that used to be very flattering on me, because I keep expecting to look as good as I did before. This red sweater? I used to look smokin' in that--but now I very definitely have a little pouch of babyness.
I feel like I shouldn't be showing yet, but then I realize that I am getting close to the halfway mark (20 weeks), so I probably should be showing. I just wish that it was a more definite pregnancy bump, instead of looking like I've just been eating my feelings.
I've got a LOT of new maternity clothes (courtesy of the seester) and I am actually really excited to start wearing them--especially since they aren't technically maternity clothes, they're just really stylish with an empire waist. :)
15 Weeks/2nd Trimester
-I have started to throw up in this trimester. However, contrary to what many of my pregnant friends and family have experienced, I actually do feel better when I've done it.
-I am craving milk like nobody's business. It's one of the few things that really calms my stomach.
-My skin is SO itchy, especially my back. If Mike hated scratching my back in church before, he definitely hates it now!
-I can't seem to walk as fast I used to. This may sound weird, but I will try to power walk and my body refuses to pick up speed. I don't huff and puff and die on the sidewalk or anything, but I can't seem to maintain a fast pace. It's making me crazy.
-Cereal only makes me feel full for about an hour, and then after that I get really nauseous. That should probably mean I should stop eating it, but I have a special bond with my cereal that nausea cannot break.
-My skin is dry. Like carry-every-type-of-body-lotion-in-my-purse-and-backpack dry.
There will come more random things, I am sure. I really need to get the book What to Expect When You're Expecting, but I keep forgetting. Have any of you read it? How useful do you find it?
Until next time!
